Applying to stay at flo
Process for applying (from 1 August 2025)
1. Online application form and payment
Start by completing the online form with your general details, including contact information for yourself, a parent or guardian, and two referees. You’ll also respond to a few longer questions to help us understand who you are and what you're hoping to get out of your time at Flo. Medical details are also required. A $75 non-refundable application fee is payable by credit card when submitting the form. Please note this fee does not guarantee acceptance. Flo accepts applicants aged 18 to 24; those turning 18 during the year will be assessed individually.
2. Interview
Once your application and payment are received, we’ll be in touch to schedule an interview — either in person or over the phone. This is a relaxed and friendly chat where we get to know each other better and hear more about why you’d like to live at Flo. It also gives you the chance to ask any questions about the Lodge or student life. You're welcome to have a parent or guardian attend the interview with you if you prefer.
3. Acceptance, contract & payment of bond and initial fees
After the interview, we’ll let you know the outcome of your application. If successful, we’ll email you a contract along with instructions for payment to confirm your place. To secure your spot, you’ll need to pay a bond, two weeks' rent in advance, and a $1000 amenities fee. From here, your name and email will be used to keep you updated as you prepare to move in and begin life at Flo.
